How does noktu work?

Noktu organizes nightlife around presence. When you scan your ID at a participating venue, you check in — and your friends can see you're there. Your check-in is private by default; public visibility is opt-in, per session.

Who can see my check-ins?

Only your mutually-confirmed friends, unless you explicitly opt in to a public view for that venue and session. Friendship is mutual; nobody can one-way follow your location.

What happens to the ID I scanned at the door?

Nothing is stored from the raw scan. We verify age and compute a one-way match value, then discard the original payload. No license number, no license image, no ID document is retained.

How do I delete my account?

Open the noktu app, go to your profile, and tap Delete account. Deletion is immediate and removes your personal information from our systems. Anonymous aggregate statistics may be retained.

I had an issue at a venue — who do I contact?

For app-side issues, email us at the address above. For venue-specific concerns, contact the venue directly; we don't mediate venue policy disputes.
